Right Mate Race Day

The CVI team caught up with some of our clients and friends at the Right Mate Race Day in Geelong at the end of June. Right Mate was founded by a desire to change the narrative when it comes to men’s Mental Health. The day included races, a two-course sit-down lunch, live auctions, raffles, and keynote speakers who shared insights on mental health and the importance of community support. The funds raised from this event enable Right Mate to continue their invaluable work, including subsidizing events and supporting individuals within the community. |
New Team Members

We’ve got two new team members at the CVI office. Tayg Thorne is joining us part time doing administration. Tayg is in his first year of a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University and is spending time learning the lending side of our administrative operations with guidance from Ben Gill. We wish him the best results for his recent mid-year exams. He is a Carlton supporter. Liana Emmerson is joining us part time as well, undertaking both marketing and administration. Liana has just completed the last unit of a Bachelor of Arts which complements her Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing. She is been helping Viv Collins with administration for our investment clients. We have also been utilising her skills with photography on social media as well as in wording for communications to our clients. Liana says she does not follow “sportsball” but she will not hear anything bad said about her father’s team: Richmond. |
Annual Golf Day 2026

CVI’s annual Golf Day was held in February. Once again, the weather Gods were very kind to us. This event seems to get bigger and better each year – proven by the fact that 11 Teams of 4 players took part this year. “Ballarat’s Best” took the honours this year, and Paul Foley achieved “Nearest the Pin”. We Thank and hope to see all who attended again next year. Special Thanks again to our Hosts Midlands Ballarat RSL Sports and Services Club and to Ringins Butchery in Sebastopol for supplying meat for the BBQ Lunch “Ballarat’s Best” (From Left to Right): Danny Molloy, Matt Skinner, Mark Bain and Cam Palmer |
