Annual Golf Day 2025

CVI’s annual Golf Day was held in February and with great weather and even better company, the day was a huge success.
Congratulations to “Yesterday’s Heroes” for taking out the event. Winner of closest to pin was Ben Franklin who pipped Mick McDonald’s drive on the last shot of the day! Thanks to everyone who attended the day, special thanks to Midlands Golf Club for hosting us & Ringin’s Butchery in Sebastopol for supplying the meat for the BBQ lunch. We hope to see you all next year! |
Breakfast with the Stars

Early October 2024 Brendan, Ben & some keen racing enthusiasts attended the Biznet Breakfast With The Stars hosted by Commerce Ballarat and the Ballarat Turf Club at Dowling Forest. We were all very interested to hear from the new CEO of the Turf Club, Peter Downs, as well as a panel of leading local trainers, Andrew Noblett, Matt Cumani, trainer of recent Royal Acott winner Asfoora, Henry Dwyer as well as Tony & Calvin McEvoy who graciously gave us a tour of their stable. There were a few notes made in phones of some horses to keep an eye out for over the Spring and hopefully a future Caulfield Cup winner tipped! Thanks as always to Commerce Ballarat for arranging and the Ballarat Turf Club for hosting the morning. |

We welcome Vivienne Collins to the growing team at CVI. We consider ourselves very lucky that she has made the move to CVI with the years of banking experience she has. For the majority of her career, Viv has been in the Banking and Finance industry. She worked for several Accounting firms prior to and while obtaining her Commerce Undergraduate Degree at Federation University in Ballarat. Most recently, Viv has worked in varied Business Banking roles with NAB for over 16 years. She prides herself in building strong customer relationships and we look forward to her doing the same at CVI. Outside work, Viv is involved in a regular 'Soup Bus' crew, enjoys time with family and friends, playing "Aunty Viv" to her two nephews, music, films, theatre and travel. |
