Betty Collier has been a CVI client since 1998. She recently received third prize for her sculpture at this year’s Florence Biennale. Betty was one of 11 artists to represent Australia at this year’s event and received the award for her piece “Cluster Formations No. 3”.
Betty said the carved alabaster work represented organic shapes and was inspired by mushrooms, land fissures and rock formations. She said the sculpture took about 15 months to complete and was hand-carved and polished. Read the full Courier article here...
